Luck O' The Irish

Luck O' The Irish, or Lucky at the stable, was a last minute decision. We had gone to one last kill pen, a bit out of state for ourselves. It was there that we found him, a six month old foal covered in dirt and looking like he'd been through it. We learned that a lot of them had been imported from other countries, a lack of space across the board and they were filling in where they could. We couldn't just leave him there, so we took the bid and brought him home.

It was a wonderful choice, after getting him vaccinated, dewormed, and cleaned up he looked like a brand new horse. Upon training in his yearling years he grew into a strong fairly large stallion. He was named Lucky since we hadn't planned on bringing back a foal that time, but just couldn't leave him there.

Even so his name suits him, being an energetic and crafty horse. He gets himself into all sorts of trouble especially when it comes to unprotected treat buckets. Still, he runs like the wind when he feels like it and we're quite proud to have him as apart of our stable. He has quite the snarky attitude and very much thinks he's the bee's knees when it comes to prancing around the starting gate. He's very particular however, extremely picky on how he gets loaded into the gate. If his criteria, mysterious as it is, isn't met he will break horribly from the starting gate.
