Sunset On High

Sunset On High, otherwise known as Sunny, is one of our gorgeous mares. A bay roan coat with a tobiano finish makes her striking to look at. She was purchased at auction and seemed to have a slight bounce to her step. Even with how dirty she had been and how hot it was she seemed to perk her head up. We could see a strong spirit underneath the dust, a gleam that told us we just had to have her.

Right we were, after a few rounds of proper feed and several vet visits Sunny was up and running. She has this large loping gait, with so much air between each stride she looks like she's flying anytime she gets some speed. She ended up being quite the soft mannered mare, timid and subtle she's not one for rambunctious behavior. She seemed to have found quite the mother figure in Honey, and is willing to play occasionally with Blackout.

When we got her under the saddle she was just a wonderful sight. Calm and even tempered she is easy to goad over jumps and seems to just love soaring through the air with each movement. If it wasn't for how well she jumped, we may have thought about using her for dressage.
