Bright Scarlet Pallet

Bright Scarlet Pallet, Scarlet for short, is by far the sweetest addition to our stables here at Silver Oak. Upon getting her we thought she wouldn't be able to make it and keep up, since she couldn't quite match a thunderous pace like Queensie. However she soon found her stride as a little sprinter, her small stance making for a rather adorable sight out on the track. She fares alright on turf but really shows her comfort on a dirt track. She is a Halloween lover due to her taste of pumpkin as her treat of choice, which she earns many of.

Upon meeting her she'll be happy to sniff and nuzzle to get you to pet her, basically a large puppy in a horses body. She is very much a gentle soul, not nearly as fiery and loud as some of the horses who call this stable home. Though she seems to get along fine with pretty much everyone here. She's a very calm little mare, and isn't easily startled by much.

The main issue we find when working with her is that she is a bit sensitive to the bit and directions given to her. We rely more on a collected jockey to ride her, someone with finesse. She doesn't do well with a rough handler in the slightest, and that's when she is quite a stubborn and nippy mare, which is perfectly understandable. So long as we have a gentle hand to guide her she'll do perfectly fine.
